OM's Karma yoga and spin classes are amazing. Spin is an upbeat workout that has really helped me get back into shape after a long break from exercise. I love the fun music and it is a great de-stresser. For a super intense workout, I recommend Jessica's spin classes. Her classes are a fun, fast paced cardio workout and she seems very considerate to all skill levels. Afterward, go to yoga for the full effect. I specifically like how yoga at OM can be adapted to all skill levels too. No beginner anxiety here! Sarah often modifies poses so that everyone can practice together, regardless of how advanced or new to yoga. The donation aspect is such a blessing - it means the instructors at OM truly want us to be able to afford classes to improve our bodies and minds. The best spin and yoga experience I have had out of many different studios I have visited in the area. Everyone is very accomodating, kind, and encouraging at OM OASIS. I highly recommend the combination of both spin and yoga at OM for a perfectly balanced workout!
Come get motivated! Spin is a 45 minute, high energy cardiovascular experience. Each class is paced to energetic and motivating music. In any given 45 minute Spin class you can expect to burn between 400-600 calories, more than with any other form of cardio workout. Classes are appropriate for all levels and students. In Spin class you are in control of your own bike and workout- push yourself as hard as you like. Spinning is a wonderful non-impact cardio workout that will get you into the best shape of your life. If new to Spinning let us know and we will give you an introduction that covers the basics; you will be pumped and ready for your first class.
This yoga practice will be focused on stretching and addressing areas on the body commonly tight or injured. Restorative yoga is the gentlest for of yoga with use of props and teachers assistance. Appropriate for all ages and levels. Please inform the instructor of any injuries or limitations prior to your first class.
Power Vinyasa Yoga
A Vinyasa style or "flow" yoga class in a heated (80-90 degree room) focusing on building heat through the body and evoking a bit of sweat. A strong focus on core work and arm strength. We will explore arm balances and inversions. We recommend that you have some yoga flow experience before joining a power yoga class.
